Waneta is a South Dakota plum introduction, which produces bountiful crops of large, juicy clingstone fruit. Plums are red-skinned with yellow flesh. Excellent for fresh eating, and preserving (i.e canning). Good for eating and canning. Ripens from late summer to early fall.

Needs another plum for cross-pollination. Canadian, American, or Toka plum recommended.
