In exchange for your organization’s work as volunteers, Prairie Gardens will donate funds to your non-profit group.

Volunteer at Prairie Gardens!

The weekends are our busiest days of the season, often times it is difficult to have enough employees available during those times. Receiving help from volunteer groups makes such a positive impact on our organization. With the help we receive from volunteers we are able to provide a happier work environment for our staff and a better experience for our guests. Through this opportunity volunteers will bond with each other and make new friends in a fast-paced, fun work environment all while raising contributions for their cause and helping us create memories that last a lifetime.

Age requirement

Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age.

Number of People Needed

There is a potential for four groups of four individuals per shift.

Hours

We offer two shifts: 9:30 AM - 3 PM and 2PM – 7:30 PM.

Dates

Weekends in September and October

Payment

Your group will receive $14 an hour for each volunteer that completes a shift.

FUNdraising Volunteer Tasks

In exchange for your group's work as volunteers, Prairie Gardens will donate funds to your organization as a fundraiser. Simply sign-up with four volunteers for one to eight sifts at the farm through September or October on the weekends. It’s a fun, unique way for groups in our community to raise money, and we love the fresh enthusiasm and extra hands volunteers bring to the farm! And the volunteers will experience community building, do good and learn about the value of supporting their organization.
Who can volunteer? Sports Teams, Dance Groups, Bands, PTAs, Preschool Societies, Ag Societies, Seniors Groups, Community Leagues, Church Groups, 4H Groups, Students, Sororities, Fraternities, and anyone else who is fundraising or earning money for a group or cause with groups of 4 to 10 people who sign up with one contact person. FUNdraising at Prairie Gardens involves your group volunteering for a minimum of a 5-hour shift during our September or October weekends. Your group can assist at a variety of locations including Admissions, Scarecrow Making, The Pumpkin Corn-ival, Pumpkin or Potato harvest, across the Farmyard, and in the Food Venues. In return, your organization will earn funds based on the number of volunteer hours worked
