Come join us as we learn all about Culinary Herbs. We will learn about different types of herbs, how to create and maintain your own herb garden at home, harvesting and drying, and how to use them in your next meals. Together, we will be making our own blend of herb infused salts with locally sourced herbs to take home with you along with a fresh herb patio box planter to start fresh with your own herb garden at home.
Window Boxes can be taken home or left at the greenhouse to be custom grown and picked up by May 22, 2023.
What to expect:
- Hands-on learning about the different kinds for culinary herbs and ideas on how to use them in the kitchen.
- Learn what varieties grow well together and where to plant them in your garden for optimal success.
- Tips on how to harvest and dry your herbs at home
- Instruction on how to incorporate herbs into your daily cooking
Includes 3 take-homes:
- Create your own infused herbal salt to take home with you for your next meal
- Receive your own window box planter with 5 of your favorites to grow at home
- Make and take an herbal infused vinegar to make your own vinaigrettes at home, along with some recipes
Every person attending the workshop, including children, must purchase a ticket.
