This shrub needs to be water regularly. Little pruning is necessary, but prune broken or damaged limbs. Cut back to ground level in the spring when the plant gets old in order to rejuvenate vigorous new growth.  Will grow to be about 8 ft in height, with a spread of 7 ft. It is very adaptable to both dry and moist locations, and should do just fine under average home landscape conditions. It is not particular as to soil type or pH.
