A compact Red Currant shrub that is great to use for culinary purposes or dessert use. There is a cluster of pale green flowers in the Spring time, and then a heavy crop of bright red currants. The currants that form are medium to large sized, juicy and flavourful, and can be eaten fresh off of the plant, or processed.

This plant is self-fertile and resistant to powder mildew. Does well in neutral clay soil, and needs to moist but well-drained soil. Grows up to 3-5 ft tall and has a spread of 3-5 ft. It may take up to 4-5 years to become well-established, but once established the Currants will be plentiful and vigorous.
