An upright fern with deep green fronds that will form a wide-spreading patch. The fronds are bright green in color, and become bronze-gold in the Fall. The unfurled part of the fern is edible though they must be properly cooked; the fronds are cinnamon brown.

Best in partial sun to full shade. Requires soil that is well-drained, and may go dormant if the soil gets too dry. Transplant when the fern is dormant during Spring/Fall.
