The Parkland Pillar Japanese White Birch, also known as the Asian White Birch, has dark green foliage throughout the season . The leaves are serrated and pointy and turn an outstanding gold color, in the Fall. It is dense deciduous tree with a strong central leader and narrowly upright and columnar growth habit. This tree is recommended as an accent, vertical accent, or as a hedge/screening. The birch is selected for its dense and columnar form, along with its tight branches.

This tree will grow to be about 25 ft at maturity, with a spread of 7 ft. It has a low canopy. It grows at a fast rate. This tree prefers average to moist conditions, but shouldn’t be allowed to dry out. This tree does require occasional maintenance and upkeep, and should only be pruned in the summer after the leaves have fully developed.
