Selected for it’s relatively thornless branches and excellent pollination qualities, Lord is a great choice to pair with female sea buckthorn varieties, such as Harvest Moon, Chuyskaya, Askola, Leikora, and Hergo. One male can pollinate up to seven female plants.

Though male sea buckthorn don’t produce berries, leaves can be used as animal fodder, and are particularly appealing to chickens (who are an excellent method of reducing suckers at the base of the plant). Nitrogen-fixer.
