A European pear of medium size, Luscious should be harvested in late September, and kept for a week to ripen in storage.  Sweet flavour and very juicy. Best suited for fresh eating.

This pear is experimental in zone 3, so it should be planted in a sheltered location (minimal wind exposure) and ideally in a place with significant snowfall. Not recommended for novice orchardists.

Requires a second pear for cross pollination. Varieties such as Early Gold, Golden Spice, Southworth, Summercrisp, Larinskaya, Prairie Welcome Chizhovsky, Paul’s, Patten, are Zarechnaya are recommended.

Mature Size: 20′ tall by 15′ wide
