Loma produces a small-medium green fruit that has a round shape. Juicy and refreshing, these pears have an excellently balanced flavour of sweet and slightly acidic. Another bonus – Loma is early to produce – 5 years instead of the typical 7 – and early to harvest in the season – at the end of August. Loma is also self-fertile and will produce pears without a second tree. Of course, with a second pear for cross-pollination, Loma trees will produce more fruit with greater consistency.
