This dessert plum was developed a mere 50′ feet from Prairie Gardens, so it’s as local as you can get. These yellow-green plums have an excellent balance between sweet and sour and ripen in late August. Ideal for fresh eating or processing, Sprout’s Sunshine plum is also rated zone 2, so it’s ideal for northern orchards.
Needs another plum for cross-pollination. Canadian or American plum recommended.
