Introduced in 1960 by C.F. Patterson at the University of Saskatchewan, and is known for its unique weeping style formation. It has heavy yields of sweet and juicy tasting plums. These freestone plums are an average of 4 to 5 cm in size, and are a dark red colored skin. One of the later ripening hybrid plums with harvest usually ready by mid September. The fruit is excellent to eat off the of three but also great for processing and canning.

This hybrid plant needs a wild plum tree nearby for cross-pollination. A good pairing with this variety is the Canadian Plum and Pembina Plum. Has a fast growth rate and prefers moist well-drained soil.
