Viburnum trilobum ‘Wentworth’
Pot size #1, #2
This is a variety of a Compact Highbush Cranberry bush. This ornamental bush has lobed glossy-green leaves with slight red edges, that will become a deep red Fall color. There are white lace-cap flower clusters in the Spring. The cranberries will form late Summer. This plant is primarily grown as an ornamental, but the berries can be eaten. The berries have a sour taste to them and are most often used in preserves.
The Wentworth does best in average to moist conditions, and shouldn’t be allowed to dry out. It is highly tolerant of urban pollution, and will look great in your landscape as an accent, hedge, or as a mass planting.
