This is a non-fruiting, heat tolerant, Canadian introduction. This crabapple tree is an upright oval shaped specimen. It is very attractive especially because of its showy pink buds. The pink buds will bloom into a heavy blanket of fragrant white blooms. The foliage is dark green and pointy shaped, and will turn yellow in the Fall.
Little pruning is required though prune broken or damaged limbs. Water regularly as needed, and feed in spring with an all purpose fertilizer. Adapts to a wide range of soils. Heat tolerant.
