Pinus strobus ‘Pendula’

Pot size #5

A tree that could potentially make for a unique accent in your landscape. It is a pine tree that has long twisting pendulous branches. The growth of the three can be trained, while it is young, to develop a central leader. The needles are soft, slender, and a bluish-green shade with white lines on its lower underside. Excellent as a specimen plant.

It will grow to a height of 8 ft and a spread of 10-12 feet. Prefers a moist, well-drained soil, but is drought tolerant once established. Little pruning is required but a yearly shearling of the tree will keep the plant compact.
