Native to Canada, the American Hazelnut produces tasty nuts beginning in late August and continuing through September. Note! These nuts are so tasty that the squirrels eagerly anticipate their ripening, so it’s best to harvest in August. Also makes for a great pollinator for hybrid hazelnuts like the Hazelbert. Bushes will sucker.

8′ tall by 8′ wide

American Hazelnuts are self-fertile, so you only need one for nut production. However, if you plant two American Hazelnuts, you will see an increased nut yield.
