A upright columnar evergreen tree that features dense dark green foliage. The evergreen will grow quite tall, and will make an excellent vertical accent in your garden. It is quite hardy and adaptable; takes pruning well. The leaves are scale like and the leaves will remain dark green throughout the Winter. There are no ornamentally significance to its flowers nor its fruits.
It will grow to a height of 20 ft, at its maturity, and a spread of 7 feet. Prefers a moist, well-drained soil, but is drought tolerant once established. Little pruning is required but a yearly shearling of the tree will keep the plant compact. Consider applying a thick mulch around the root to protect from the Winter cold.
