The Riverbank grape is a vine indigenous to North America. It is a climbing vine and is capable to reaching very tall trees. The flowers on the vine are small, fragrant, and white to greenish in color. They will bloom sometime between April – June, and during late Summer produce a small blue-black grape. The grapes formed are juicy, seeded, and can be considered vinous in flavor.

The best thing about the Riverbank variety is that it is extremely cold resistant and fungal disease resistant. It is used extensively in grape breeding program for the aforementioned reasons. Prefers a moist, well-drained soil, and requires a support structure.
