Farm Mazes, U-Pick & Picnics

This is a fun picnic experience you will love! Support a local farm, learn about growing & harvesting, enjoy our produce less than 100 feet from where it was grown! Farm entry is included in picnic price ($30 value).

This is a picnic experience for two - (the picnic box is generous enough for 2 children under age three.) Included: a delicious farm picnic with breads, cheeses, farm salads, veggies, sweet treats & desserts; a private picnic site with a picnic table, a farm tour to see what we are growing this year, and a chance to sit back, relax and enjoy life in the great outdoors. Farm admission (value $30) is included. See animals, heritage chickens, solve 6 minute mazes and explore a nature trail. There are u-pick vegetables to learn about (pay for what you pick), a huge 15 acre pumpkin patch, and corn maze 1 km north of the homestead site that you can also drive to.

Included in Farm Admission: Stroll through Garlic gardens, our Row 7 gourmet vegetable Trial Garden, Apple Orchards, while the kids have fun at Bale Mazes, Corn and Sunflower Mazes (tall enough to get lost in by August), snap sunflower photos with your family (late August - September), pick-your own veggies, berries, or pumpkins while in season, check out our heritage farm chickens. You’ll learn about where and how food grows in the Edmonton region. The Educational petting farm is open for private petting farm bookings - group at a time - can now be booked to keep you all safe! Add on a Charcuterie Box, featuring Fleur Jaune Cheeses, Lakeside Dairy Cheese and cured meats and sausage from RGE RD Butchery and Mewulys. Family Farm Picnics offer tremendous local fare and a ‘taste of place”. Picnic boxes feature our own fresh grown vegetables! Discover what’s in season at the farm - including farm salads, seasonal fruits like figs, rhubarb, berries, plums, cherries and apples; and enjoy fresh baked breads, greens, pickles, sweet treats! Adorned with fresh edible flowers, heirloom cherry tomatoes and farm herbs, these baskets offer wholesome goodness the whole family will enjoy. (Yes - we do grow our own figs!)

Picnics come as standard vegetarian (or gluten-free) with child-friendly options when you let us know the kids are coming! You can embellish your experience with an add-on a RGE RD specialty hotdog roast (comes in multiples of 4).

The Farm Picnic Experience includes admission to the farm for two people and two children under age 3, botanic water. Individual youth picnic bags for ages 3-12 and admissions can be added to your order.

$75 + tax  for two adults and two youth under age 3

$25 Add on Picnic Bag for each child ages 3-12 (includes farm admission and child friendly picnic bag)

$50 Add on Local Charcuterie Meats Box (sausage, smoked beef, meat pie, olives)

Add on farm activity vouchers $15 that include a take home, (such as Little Bear Gelato Ice Cream or Sorbets) Gem Mining Gem Experience, or Succulent or Herb Planters, or U-pick Veggies, Strawberries, Apples, or Pumpkins (depending on what’s available that day) or shop the Farm Market for produce for your family dinner table).
