Pleasant tasting, Loving pears are firm, keeping well in cold storage. They also have a mild and sweet flavour, with a hint of sour. Fruit ripens in early September, so it’s a good complement to varieties that ripen in August or late September. Best suited for fresh eating, juicing, and dehydrating.

Requires a second pear for cross pollination. Varieties such as Early Gold, Golden Spice, Southworth, Summercrisp, Larinskaya, Prairie Welcome Chizhovsky, Paul’s, Patten, are Zarechnaya are recommended.
