Vaccinium ‘Chippewa’
Pot size #1, #2
Mid-summer harvest, hardy blueberry variety, and an upright form. The blueberries are large and juicy. There are white blooms in spring and a glossy green foliage that turns red in the full. It can self pollinate but will have a better yield with cross pollination. This small shrub has a height of up to 3 ft and a 3 ft spread, and requires an acidic soil, with excellent drainage, and plenty of good peat moss.
Though it is a relatively low maintenance plant and grows at a fast rate, it can be picky about it soil conditions. Despite its pickiness the blueberries are produced in a cluser which are usually ready for picking in mid-summer.
