Lavandula ang. ‘Hidcote’
Pot size #1
Compact habit with a mass of sweet, fragrant, deep purple spikes from early to late summer, accent fragrant, small, grey lance-shaped foliage. Excellent massed and border plant. Tolerates pollution and drought once established in a moist, well-drained soil.
Hidcote is the hardiest lavender for Alberta; however, it still needs some additional protection. We recommend covering with 4-6″ of straw in the fall, and then removing in the spring once the plants begin to grow (typically early to mid May, depending on weather). Lavender prefers hot and dry locations and would do best on a sloped/hilly area.
Height 14-18″ & Spread 16″
