It is part of the old-fashioned shrub rose group of roses, and is also considered one of the hardiest and resistant to disease.
This is a high maintenance shrub that will require regular care and upkeep. Best pruned in late winter. It will grow to be about 4 ft in maturity, with a spread of 4 ft. It does best in average to evenly moist conditions, but will not tolerate standing water. Once established will be drought tolerant.
