A French hybrid lilac that features showy panicles. The blooms are quite fragrant and powder blue in color. Tall, multi-stemmed and upright in form. It is an early bloomer and in late Spring will form the double, lavender-blue blooms coming up amount the heart-shaped, dark green foliage which turns yellow in Fall. Great so use massed, hedge, or as a screen plant.

Prefers soil that is moist and well-drained. Great to use as fresh flowers or dried. Gets to a height of 12 ft and a spread of 8 ft. A variety of a species not originally from North America. Note that this is a high maintenance shrub and will require regular upkeep.
