The Sweet Summer has white flowers that are conical shaped which matures into flushes of light pink. The shrub is coarse in appearance, and has green foliage throughout the season.
Broad panicles emerge white in summer but change to light pink. Strong stiff stems hold the flower panicles upright with no drooping. Mature to a height of 4 – 5 FT and have a spread of 3 – 4 FT.
Prefers soil that is moist and well-drained. Great to use as fresh flowers or dried. Deadheading is not necessary. Needs slightly acidic soil.Consider applying a thick mulch around the root zone in winter to protect it in exposed locations or colder microclimates.
