Choose from the following varieties of small winter squash. All small winter squash are $3.00ea and weigh approximately 1.2-1.8lbs.
Autumn Crown (Pumpkin): Colour and flavour of a butternut squash in the shape of a pumpkin.
Baby Blue (Hubbard): Light blue/grey in color with high quality, sweet orange yellow flesh that stores well.
Black Bellota (Acorn): Large bush acorn has dark almost black green skin with nice orange flesh that has a good amount of sugars.
Buttercup Burgess (Buttercup): the standard for buttercup with thin hard rind, fruit is dry, fine-grained and smooth. Excellent quality and very sweet nutty flavour.
Carnival (Acorn): A large acorn with wonderful flavour, Carnival stores well for several months, while maintaining its eating quality.
Delica (Kabocha): Delica stores well and has very dry, finely grained flesh with creamy texture and sweet flavour.
Goldilocks (Acorn): Goldilocks stores well and has great flavor when cooked. Beautiful golden acorn squash with bright orange flesh.
Midnight (Pumpkin): this variety has russet brown skin and white flesh. Best suited for boiling, baking and frying, this variety is a keeper that will last all winter long. Commonly used to make French fries.
Orangita (Pumpkin): Orangita is a unique, flattened oval, deeply ribbed with high yields of attractive deep orange fruit.
Small Wonder (Spaghetti): Single serving squash that is exceptionally prolific with great storage life. “Spaghetti” is fine when compared to other varieties.
Stripetti (Spaghetti): Striped vegetable spaghetti with great flavour! Fruit are hard shelled and keep well.
Sweet Dumpling (Delicata): Unique personal size delicata with incredibly sweet flavor.
Sweet Mama (Kabocha): Bright yellow flesh tastes sweet and nutty with a dry texture.
Vegetable Spaghetti (Spaghetti): Popular spaghetti with smooth, pale, yellow rind. Sakata strain.
Farm Pick-Up available on Thursdays 10:00am-12:00pm, Sundays 1:00-4:00pm, or by appointment. Our address is 56311 Lily Lake Rd, Sturgeon County. City Pick-Up available on Thursdays 3:30-5:30pm at The Butchery by Rge Rd (12229 – 107 Ave).
