Fall brides on the farm
It’s a beautiful fall day for an outdoor country wedding – the sky is blue, the clouds are at their fluffiest and tall cornstalks wave in the fresh breeze.
Your guests arrive to the field on a bright red train (one day, you’ll have a little boy and that’ll be his favourite part) and mingle under the tent with cold retro soda pops, while kids run among the sprinkling of white pumpkins.
Your bridesmaids flounce in wearing their most adorable country finery and then comes you – fresh and lovely with a cheerful bouquet of colourful flowers and feathery prairie grasses (all grown right here). Here you are on your perfect day in a beautiful place with everyone you love around you.
Your Prairie Gardens wedding is perfectly you – cool, authentic and a little bit different.
A beautiful (and fun) venue
I know, I had you at cornstalks and then sealed it with the bouquet, so now you need details. We will set up the natural venue with a wedding arch, straw bales for the guests (or chairs for delicate city folk) and potted flowers, baskets or those awesome white pumpkins we’ve already talked about.
We can accommodate up to 150 guests, who will play on the farm’s corn maze, petting zoo and gem mine, while you, your bridal party and photographer roam around getting some unforgettable shots.
We have lots of helpers
We can also hook you up with that prairie-girl bouquet, a wonderful commissionaire, tent rental and we know a really groovy country-folk band too. Really, we’re here to help with all the planning – and we love weddings, so we’ll probably be as excited as you are.
Farm-fresh local food
Whether you are looking for a casual country picnic reception or a swanky seven-course sit down – we can make it happen. We’ll use fresh produce right from the farm, local elk, lamb or beef (like, right down the road local), and local chefs. And we have also been working hard researching local wines to pair with our food (it’s a tough job, but somebody’s got to do it).
Any style, any size, any budget
The first thing to do is to sit down over coffee and tell us all about your dream day. Are you thinking: Grandma’s old lace, quirky retro or country picnic? Sixteen people or one hundred and sixteen? Morning, high noon or evening? You give us your vision and a budget and we will help you make a plan.
But whatever particulars you choose, you will have a relaxed, fun, intimate day that celebrates your love, your family and your friends. And that’s what it’s really all about, right?
We still have some dates available for Fall 2013 and are planning for 2014. Call the farm at 780.921.2272 to find out more.
