Ready in early September, Wealthy is an excellent keeper, storing until December in cold storage! Very good for applesauce, baking, and fresh eating. Medium-sized fruit. Wealthy was once one of the top five apples grown in the USA and remains extremely popular today.

Wealthy is experimental in zone 3. We recommend planting in a sheltered location (minimal wind) that receives abundant snowfall. Not recommended for novice orchardists.

Requires another apple nearby for cross-pollination to improve yields. Prefers a moist, well-drained soil.
