This russian variety is an excellent keeping pear, storing until December, and highly productive. Ripening in late September, the fruit is medium in size and very juicy with an excellent sweet-sour flavour. Best suited for fresh eating or processing.

Requires a second pear for cross pollination. Varieties such as Early Gold, Golden Spice, Southworth, Summercrisp, Larinskaya, Prairie Welcome Chizhovsky, Paul’s, Patten, are Zarechnaya are recommended.
