Pyrus ‘Vekovaya’

Fruit has a yellow skin with red blush and is ready to be harvested in mid to late September. Considered very productive, Vekovaya produces pears with good flavour, bordering the line of sweet and sour. Best suited for fresh eating and processing. Pears will also keep up to 3 months in cold storage after harvest.

Requires a second pear for cross pollination. Varieties such as Early Gold, Golden Spice, Southworth, Summercrisp, Larinskaya, Prairie Welcome Chizhovsky, Paul’s, Patten, are Zarechnaya are recommended.
