2026 has been a year of record-breaking rain across the province. On August 6th, Sturgeon County declared an agricultural disaster for this growing season.

Our fields have been affected and several crops have been lost as a result of the growing conditions, including the Corn and Sunflower Mazes, which will not be available for the fall 2026 season.

The Haunted Pumpkin Festival at Prairie Gardens is a family-friendly Halloween celebration held every October, featuring spooky-fun attractions designed to be playful rather than frightening. Guests can explore haunted pumpkin displays, wander through the ghost town, join guided Ghost Walks, visit the kid-friendly Haunted Farm House, and enjoy themed fall activities across the farm. Unlike the September Fall-o-Ween Harvest Festival, which focuses on classic autumn traditions, the Haunted Pumpkin Festival adds gentle Halloween elements, haunted scenes, and seasonal pumpkin attractions throughout October.

Pumpkin Patch & Pancake Breakfast

New this year, is the Pumpkin Patch & Pancake Breakfast, which also include a Fall-o-ween ticket.

Featuring a special fall harvest breakfast, there’s something for everyone to enjoy – warm pancakes topped with pumpkin spice Chantilly cream, scrambled fresh farm eggs, sliced smoked sausage, our famous dilly garlic potatoes, and pumpkin scones with a maple glaze for dessert. Includes our signature apple cider mocktail and choice of refreshments.

After breakfast, build a scarecrow to take home, have fun playing pumpkin checkers or pumpkin bowling at the Pumpkin Corn-i-val, snuggle with the goats at the Petting Farm, hop on the train or tractor wagon ride, be ready to scream through the Haunted House, and even get your face painted. Includes free fall crafts and a $5 voucher that can be used for experiences like Gem Mining, Mini Succulent Planters, or Pumpkin Painting!

Planning Notes: School Field Trips come to Prairie Gardens weekday mornings, if allowed this season. Please do not plan to come to visit us on Weekday Morning (Monday thru Thursday), as we are offering pre-registered guided school field trips from 9am - 12pm. On Fridays and weekends, we are open to the public all day.
