A willow variety that has variegated cream-white and green leaves and touches of pink. The Flamingo offers nice stem and foliage color. It is a fusion of two other popular willow cultivars and is considered an improvement on the Nishiki Willow. It is very fast-growing.The yellow flowers are insignificant, appearing as catkins, similar to those on other willow shrubs. Resistant to leaf scorch.
Drought tolerant willow. Requires average to moist conditions, but will not tolerate standing water. This willow requires constant pruning to keep its landscape appeal.
A Prairie hardy willow that is excellent for hedging, borders, or for foundation planting. Part of the Wolf Willow cultivation program. The shrub is highly regarded for being ornamental with its powder blue foliage throughout the summer, becoming brown in the Fall. There are also small yellow catkins that bloom in late Summer and becoming grey and hairy during the Winter. The shrub has an attractive, dense and upright shape lending it to be a great form, color, and added texture to your garden.
