Spirea is a landscaping classic, thanks to its neat, mounded habit. It makes a nice edging, accent plant, or perennial garden companion. Double Play Gold has bright gold foliage, which adds lovely contrast to garden beds. Blossoms are bright pink and blooms through the summer. Great option because it blooms non-stop, non-invasive, and has colorful foliage.

Prefers soil that is moist and well-drained. Great to use as fresh flowers or dried. Deadheading is not necessary. Needs slightly acidic soil. Consider applying a thick mulch around the root zone in winter to protect it in exposed locations or colder microclimates. Drought tolerant.
