The Silver Mound will grow to a height of 12 inches and has a spread of 18 inches. The foliage of this plant tends to remain dense, and grows relatively close to the ground. It grows at a fast rate. It prefers dry to average moist levels and needs well-drained soil. It is considered to be drought tolerant and will often die in standing water. It is particular about soil conditions with preferences toward soils that are alkaline or clay like.
