One of the few hardy green grapes, Brianna has a superb flavour with hints of the tropics – namely grapefruit and pineapple. The fruit is medium/large in size and best suited for fresh eating, juicing, or making white wine.
This grape is a vigorous climber, can be used as a screen for arbors, trailing along fences and trellises against buildings. Water moderately, requires regular pruning.
Brianna is not as hardy as many blue/black grapes like Valiant, Beta, etc. and needs additional protection in order to survive the winter. This grape should be planted in a sheltered location, ideally the south side of a building. Lay vines down (if possible) and cover with wood chips or mulch in the fall. Uncover the mulch in the spring.
