Rheum ‘Glaskins Perpetual’

An heirloom rhubarb, Glaskins Perpetual dates back to the 19th century and originated in Brighton, United Kingdom. Stalks are long and somewhat slender, but have excellent flavour. Known for its low levels of oxalic acid (in fact Glaskins Perpetual is one of the least acidic varieties of any rhubarb), this rhubarb is ideal for making pies and jams.

First harvest takes place in May-June, followed by a second harvest in September-October. Rhubarb do best in rich, well-drained soil.

Mature Size: 2′ tall x 2′ wide.
