Description
Last fall we put out a call for volunteers to help save the harvest and we were absolutely blown away by the response! Many of the families who came out to help expressed what a meaningful experience it was for them and wanted to know when they could come again. That’s why we’ve created our Volunteer at the Farm program.
How it works:
- Sign-up for one or two 3-hour time slots.
- Dress for work – comfortable shoes/boots (depending on the weather), layers of clothing (greenhouses are heated and the outdoors are not), gloves are a must, hats/sunglasses (to keep cool in the summer).
- You’ll also have the choice of a take-home (farm produce or plants, as seasonally available) and/or time to enjoy and explore the farm as a thank you for your time.
- Children are welcome! They will be working alongside you, but can enjoy the Petting Farm, Playgrounds, Bale Mazes, etc. during the day as a thank you for their time.
- Check-In at the Country Store when you arrive!
