Known for its vibrant red stalks, Crimson Cherry rhubarb is excellent for making pies, jams, and sweet treats like muffins, upside-down cake, and rhubarb fool. This is a low maintenance variety that prefers full sun, and would do best with an annual application of fertilizer in the spring.

Do not harvest first year plantings as this does not allow the rhubarb plant to properly establish. Moderate harvest in the second year. Once the plant is in its third year, you can harvest up to 1/3 of the total stalks, but not more, on an annual basis.
