An introduction from Saskatoon, SK. A small upright crabapple tree that is strongly resistant to fire blight. It has dark pink blossoms that appear before the purple foliage, in spring, followed by small persistent red fruit. The foliage will turn orangish-yellow in the Fall. Known to be very resistant to fireblight, and also one of the most reliable performers.

Little pruning is required though prune broken or damaged limbs. Water regularly as needed, and feed in spring with an all purpose fertilizer. Adapts to a wide range of soils. Heat tolerant. Prefers a moist, well-drained soil.
