This is a herbaceous perennial with a more or less rounded form, and is relatively low maintenance. Most often used for mass planting and for general garden use. The peony flowers feature red cup-shaped flowers, lightly scented and bold colored The leaves of this plant are deeply cut compound leaes that will remain green in color throughout the season. The Fernleaf Peony will grow up to be about 20 inches tall at maturity, and with a spread of 24 inches. It grows at a slow rate.

One of the earliest peonies to flower in the Spring. It is shrubby, has feathery foliage, and has eye-catching double flowers. It blossoms, one per stem, 4 inches in diameter.

Peonies are virtually pest free. Very useful and adaptable in the garden. Perfect to use a specimen plant, borders, city gardens , or cottage gardens.
