The foliage is a deep green foliage which contrasts with the rich flower colors. The blooms are large and grow on the upright, sturdy branched stems.
Also known as Echinacea, which has been cultivated since the 1700s, both in North America and Europe. It is used commonly as treatment and medicine, and is easily grown since they thrive on neglect.
This is a relatively low maintenance plant, and is easy to care for. Coneflowers will grow in clumps. The Cheyenne Spirit will get to 30 inches tall on their tall and strong erect stems, and with a spread of 30 cm. It tolerates dry to medium, well-drained soils. It will tolerate drought conditions once it is established. Low water needs. Drought, deer, heat, humidity, and poor soil tolerant.
