Released in 1954 by Cornell University in New York, Jewel Black is a vigorous, highly productive black raspberry.  Flavour is mild/sweet and lacks the tang of red raspberries. Best suited for fresh eating, baking (especially in muffins), and making jams, jellies and juices.

Self fertile. Do not plant with yellow or red raspberries in close proximity.
