Prunus ‘Kahnita’

Introduced in 1912, Kahinta belongs to the series developed by N.E. Hansen, which includes such varieties as Toka, Waneta, and Pembina. Boasting ultra juicy amber flesh that has a pleasing blend of sweet and spicy, the fruit of the Kahnita is medium-sized and has purple-red skin. Suited for fresh eating, keeping (cold storage), and processing.

Kahnita should be planted in a sheltered area (minimal wind exposure) and is not recommend for novice orchardists.

Needs another plum for cross-pollination. Canadian or American plum recommended.
