French Garden Sorrel is one of our favourite perennials. It’s always the first green up in the spring and the latest one we’re able to harvest in the fall. Sorrel is not frost sensitive, so the leaves don’t freeze during late spring or early fall frosts.

Though it may look common, Sorrel is anything but! The flavour is tangy – reminiscent of lemons or rhubarb – which makes it the perfect addition to salads or a as a garnish. Sorrel is also traditionally used in soups (think like a green borscht) in Eastern Europe.

Mature size: 8-12″ tall by 12″ wide
