Known to be one of the most hardiest ornamental hawthorns. It is highly recommended for small home landscapes, but requires a wind sheltered space. It has sparse red berries in the Fall and has sharp thorns. The Snowbird Hawthorn has stunning clusters of white flowers that are held atop the branches in mid-Spring. It has forest green foliage through the season, the leaves are serrated and lobed that do not develop any appreciable fall color.

This tree will grow to be about 18 ft at maturity, with a spread of 12 ft. It has a low canopy. It grows at a medium rate. It is very adaptable to both dry and moist. This tree does require occasional maintenance and upkeep, though gardeners should be aware of special consideration including disease and spiny.
