Extremely hardy prairie grape. Manitoba produces dark blue/black fruit that is best suited for fresh eating, or making jams and jellies. It is a climbing vine and is capable to reaching very tall trees. The flowers on the vine are small, fragrant, and white to greenish in color. They will bloom sometime between April – June, and during late Summer produce a small blue-black grape. The grapes formed are juicy, seeded, and can be considered vinous in flavor.
Prefers a moist, well-drained soil, and requires a support structure.
