These raspberries produce very sweet berries. In comparison to ‘Royalty Purple,’ the berries produced by the Purple raspberry are slightly smaller and tend to be a darker purple in colour. The flavour is noticeably different from red raspberries. Cross between red and black raspberries and ripen after red summer varieties, but just before ‘Royalty Purple’. Ideal for fresh eating, jams, jellies, and pies.
