A cross between a Dolgo and a Haralson apple. This is a variety that originated from Manitoba. They keep well and are good for fresh eating, cooking, and juicing. The apple has a purplish red color and a yellow flesh. Flavour is reminiscent of grapefruit.

Needs another apple variety to be planted nearby for cross-pollination. Prefers a moist, well-drained soil. The tree form is narrow and upright. Fireblight resistant.

Best pollinator for Honeycrisp.
