Amerlanchier alnifolia ‘Northline’
Pot size #1, #2
Excellent shrub for usage in commercial production. During the spring time there are beautiful white blooms, and orange foliage in the Fall. The Saskatoon berries formed are small, blue, and round ready to be picked in early Summer. The berries have a sweet taste and can be eaten fresh, cooked, or preserved.
This is a self-pollinating shrub, so it doesn’t require a second plant nearby to set fruit. It is an ornamental as well as edible. It prefers average to moist soil, shouldn’t be allowed to dry out, and is an extremely versatile shrub for edible landscapes.
