Vitis ‘Frontenac Gris’

A wine grape that was developed by the University of Minnesota. Developed to be especially tolerant in cold climates, very disease resistant, good immunity to downy mildew. Known for producing wines with good body, the grapes lend fruity flavours – most notably of peach and pinneapple – to their blends, with a hint of honey. Typically used in white wines, though, depending on season and technique, the colour can be darker, more of a salmon-shade.

Needs a warm area with good air movement. Water regularly and feed with all purpose fertilizer. This vine has arching canes and minimal amount of tendrils, so makes for easy training and pruning.
